Whoever wrote the Obituary for Steve, in my view, described perfectly the young man that I knew forty years ago when I was a frequent guest in the McNorgan household. I remember the joy he got from watching his favourite TV show, "I Dream of Jeannie", and how he tagged everyone in the family with a nickname based on characters in that show. The writer further stated, "He radiated love and joy wherever he went, touching the hearts of everyone who knew him." Well, he certainly touched mine. "Steve loved everyone, and everyone loved Steve." Yes, that's my memory of Steve too. And who would have thought, when I saw him again about 20 years ago, that he would remember my name? My nickname of course. It was comforting to hear that he retained his childlike innocence, his love for Santa and birthdays. I know that Steve was loved by his family: wonderful parents in Carl and Lille, and devoted brothers Bob, Rick, and Dave, and sisters Jo, Sass, and Linda, and their respective spouses and their children. My condolences to the whole family. I suspect at this Thanksgiving, they will thank God for bringing Steve into their lives. Rest in peace, Fonzie.
