We understand how difficult it is to lose a loved one. Our compassionate and caring team work hard each and every day to make sure that the members of our community and beyond are taken care of during such a difficult time. For advice on what to do when a loved one is dying, making funeral arrangements, pre-arranging your own funeral, or anything else, please feel free to contact us, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Manager and Funeral  Director

A licensed funeral director since 1992, John is the third generation in his family to serve his community with compassion and care. John has a keen awareness of how to soothe the uneasiness associated with funeral arrangements and how to share what may be most helpful to families dealing with the loss of a loved one. He and wife Lisa have a son William (Will). John realizes the importance of spending his most valuable asset… time, with his friends and his family.

Patrick Donohue
Preneed and Estates

Patrick Donohue graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1994 with an Honours History Degree. Patrick came to work at the funeral home full time in 1995 and is the Pre-need sales director and aftercare counselor. Patrick enjoys the direct contact with client families and receives great satisfaction in helping them understand the significant benefits that come from pre-planning. Along with his wife Heather, Patrick is busy with three children Grace, Ryeland and Ava, and enjoys sports like golfing, tennis and baseball.


​Martina McGrenere
Funeral Director

Marti joined the family at Donohue Funeral Home in 2012 and received her funeral directors license in 2013. Prior to receiving her license, she was employed in the hospitality industry for several years. Her decision to return to school was prompted by the desire to become involved in work that would be more personally rewarding. Marti has never regretted her decision and finds assisting people during a difficult time to be a meaningful endeavor. On her off time, Marti and her partner, Vanessa, enjoy traveling, "glamping" and relaxing at the cottage with their family and beloved dogs Ruth and Mavis  


Julie Latham

Funeral Director

Julie joined the Donohue family in 2018. Upon receiving her Funeral Director’s License in 1994, Julie moved to the Huntsville area where she became the first female Funeral Director in the Huntsville area. Julie, her husband Ian and daughter Sarah lived in Barrie for 15 years, moving to the London area in 2018. In her spare time Julie enjoys scrap booking, playing sports and
spending time with her family.


Laila Reiz

Funeral Director

Laila joined the Donohue family in 2021.  After graduating from the funeral services program at Humber College in 2020, Laila moved to Bobcaygeon where she worked as a landscaper and met her partner John.  She moved back to her home town of London in 2021 and begin her internship program at Donohue's.  Laila received her Funeral Director's License in 2022.  She enjoys hiking, trying new foods and relaxing with her two cats Misa and Hammy.  



Emily Southwick

​Funeral Director


Emily joined the Donohue family in 2018. Upon receiving her Funeral Director’s License in 2015, Emily worked in the Hamilton area until moving to London in July 2018. In her spare time Emily enjoys traveling, reading true crime books, and spending time with her family and friends.
