Vallely, Dr. John Francis

Deacon John Francis Vallely died peacefully at LHSC University Hospital, London on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at age 70. Beloved husband of Susan.  Dear father of Paul and Alan (Arale).  Dear brother of Father Martin Vallely.  Predeceased by his parents Frank and Audrey Vallely and his in laws Alfred and Lucille Girard.  John retired in 2008 from a distinguished career as a urologist, both in surgery and in teaching in London.  John devoted himself totally to the service of the Church, especially his beloved Holy Family Parish.  Ordained in November 2005, in the first class of Permanent Deacons of the Diocese of London.  John oversaw the Diocesan Formation and Study Program for the Permanent Diaconate until 2016.  He continued as the Director of Permanent Deacons in the Diocese until his death.  Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London on Thursday, October 19th from 2-5 pm and 7-9pm.  Vigil prayers offered at 7 pm.  Visitation will continue on Friday morning, October 20th from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 am.  Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.  Reception to follow the Funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish Hall.  Donations to the Holy Family Parish or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
