What a delight to be able to browse through these wonderful photographs of Anne and her family! Extending sincere sympathy to Kirsten and Jason on the loss of their beloved mother, over seven years ago. Anne was a fine lady, a great co-worker at Royal Trust and a wonderful friend whom I had lost contact with. I will always remember her fondly.

My mother passed away 7 years ago today. It was a heartbreaking loss for my brother, Jason, and I, but it made us recall the wonders of her life. She was born in 1927 and grew up with fascinating brothers and sisters in Cornwall. Unfortunately, she suffered tuberculosis in the forties with her father and youngest brother. When she recovered after two years, she worked through the fifties in administrative and scientific roles. She met my dad toward the beginning of the sixties. She had Jay and I in the early and mid-sixties and remained a hard working mom for quite a time. She decided to return to university to study English in the seventies. She enjoyed it enormously, but experienced marriage difficulties. After my dad left, she worked at a bank in a number of roles, rising from being a teller to managing investments. She was very well respected. She loved Victorian stories and achieved great joy from reading novels and watching their adaptations in movies and television shows. All this time, of course, my mom was someone who’d smile in the garden she’d beautifully designed, glamorize her clothes and hairstyles, and cook for her hungry, happy kids. She did a number of things in a fabulous way. Jason and I hope that the wonder of a heavenly afterlife brings her joy, peace, and our eternal love.
