Passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Barbara June Smith. Cherished father of Sandra (Dane) Eldridge, Monica (Tom) Ballantine and Paul (Connie) Smith. Beloved grandfather of Timothy (Halie) Powell, Robert Powell, Corwin Ballantine, Connor (Kaitlyn) Ballantine, Hunter Ballantine and great-grandfather of Presley Powell and Finley Hunter Ballantine. Brother of Jack (Ruth) Smith, Frank (Linda) Smith, Mary (Steve) DiMarco) and brother-in-law of Reid (Diane) Hackwell, David Hackwell and Jack McLlewain. Predeceased by parents John and Alice Smith, parents-in-law Wes and Edna Hackwell and sister-in-law Audrey McLlewain. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, London, on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 o’clock. Prayers at 2:30. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Church, 511 Cheapside Street, London, on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 10 o’clock. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to L.H.S.C. Foundation, Trillium-Credit Valley Hospital or St. Michael’s Church.
