Rest in Peace Bishop Sherlock. My Dad often spoke of Bishop Sherlock - my Dad was raised in Brantford and attended St. Mary's Church as a child. He said the Carroll family lived not too far from the Sherlock family. Whenever Bishop Sherlock was in the area (Waterford area - as that is where Dad moved our family), Dad made sure he would always attend the celebration that Bishop Sherlock was at. They were friends. I remember Bishop Sherlock coming to the official opening/blessing of Holy Trinity Catholic School in Simcoe. Bishop Sherlock mentioned his friend, Norm Carroll, in the gathering. Yes, Bishop Sherlock was a friendly personable person. He once again is reunited with his family, former parishioners and friends. I know he may be visit with my parents right now. Dad enjoyed speaking with him. To the rest of Bishop Sherlock's family - take care. Many blessings are sent your way. Bishop Sherlock will be sadly missed.
