Obituary of Emmanuel Schembri

Schembri, Emmanuel Emmanuel Vincent Schembri, aged 104 years, passed away on June 19th, 2019 in London, Ontario, at Henley Place. Emmanuel was born September 19th, 1914 to parents Francis and Josephine Schembri of Cospicua, Malta. He married Mary Frances Mizzi, on July 11th, 1939 and had four children Colina, Helen "Eileen" Mikilina, Joseph and Alfred. He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1950 where he worked as a machinist at Proto Tool before retiring in 1979. Emmanuel is survived by; son-in-law Bert Taylor (late Helen "Eileen") and their children Lisa Taylor (Peter), Laura Wilkinson (Don), Lydia Booker (Ben), Lilah Taylor (Dan) and Lindsay Watson (Matt); his son Joseph (late Lennie) Schembri and their children Jason Schembri (Tracey), Julie Goodall and Jeremy Schembri; his son Fred Schembri (Heather) and their children David Schembri (Amy) and Natalie Schembri (Andrew) and 17 great grandchildren. Emmanuel will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Canada, Malta and Australia. We would like to acknowledge and warmly thank the staff of Henley Place for all their kind support in making Emmanuel's life more comfortable for the last 5 years. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1 Fallons Lane on Tuesday morning, June 25th at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
