Katherine's love of Nursing, Music, Art, and Family, predominated through her life. Having attended St. Angela's College, Sacred Heart School of Music, and St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, she started playing the pipe organ at age of 15 at St. Mary's Church in London, followed by a nursing career. Her love of singing, led her to direct the "St. Joseph's School of Nursing Student's Choir" for several Graduations at Alumni Hall, University of Western Ontario. She started a children's choir at St. Pius X Church (now "Holy Family") While the church was being built, she had rehearsals in her home so the children would be ready for the Grand Opening of the Church.
Katherine continued singing and playing throughout her life in various choral groups. She encouraged her children and grandchildren with her love of music, art and family.
