Obituary of Angelo Michele Iacobelli

Iacobelli, Angelo October 1, 1932 - May 12, 2019 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angelo Michele Iacobelli,a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He lived valiantly, fought tirelessly and lay peacefully as he was called home to God surrounded by the pillar of his existence; his family. Angelo will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and love of his life for 66 years, Donata Iacobelli. Family was the essence of his life and he will be missed by his loving children, Lena (Tony) Romeo and Sil (Sue) Iacobelli. He was the cherished Nonno to Vince (Erin) Romeo, Mike (Monica) Romeo, Danielle (Joel) Steingart and Michele Iacobelli. In his sweetest role he was bisnonno to Apollo, Adriano, Andreas and Rachel Romeo. Nonno was a major presence in the lives of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Angelo will be remembered fondly for his bountiful garden, breathtaking flowers, envious hair and his unconditional love. He is predeceased by his parents, Antonio Iacobelli and Adele Marrocco, his brothers Bruno and Dario Iacobelli and his twin sister, Marietta Fanelli. Born in Casalvieri, Frosinone Italy, he immigrated to Canada in 1958 where he lived his life a hardworking, dedicated, faithful family man. He will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, compari and friends. Visitation will take place at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, May 15,2019 from 2-4 and 7-9. Prayers to take place at 8:15pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St.Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00am. Entombment to follow in Holy Family Mausoleum, St Peters Cemetery. He was blessed in life and until his final breath to be surrounded by the family he loved and lived for.
