He came to Canada as a young man in 1954 following rewarding service in The Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers of the British Army. He had a varied manufacturing engineering career in several companies and retired from Fanshawe College in 1993. John loved to dance with his wife Barbara, play cards, golf, do crosswords and read. John will mostly be remembered for his love of music and singing. He loved all the old tunes and was always humming as he walked the halls of Richmond Woods, frequently breaking out into song.
