Obituary of Charles Henry Ennett
Ennett, Charles
Charles Henry Ennett, known to his friends as "Charlie", died peacefully at Parkwood hospital on April 3, 2019 at the age of 83.
He was born in Dresden, son of the late Henry Ennett and Loretta (McGuire) Ennett. Beloved husband of the late Vivian (Essenmacher) Ennett (2006). Dear father of Gary and Anne Ennett of London, Michael and Laura Ennett of Stratford, and Judy and Jim Butler of London.
Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Jeffrey, David, Julie, Katelin, Julia and Nicholas.
Predeceased by brothers Tom (Mary), Jack (Josi), and Jerry (Barbara).
Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
A dear friend of Marie Sawa, Anne & David McFarland and their daughter, Sarah, and Guy and Connie Chalk.
Although he was raised on the farm, Charlie was a city boy at heart. He worked as a manager in the tire industry for many years and in 1977 co-founded his own tire business, Ennett-Foster Tire with his late friend, Bob Foster.
He was strongly committed to his family and friends, a tireless sports fan, an enthusiastic participant of the coffee klatch at Maisonville Mall, and an avid poker player.
Charlie received excellent care from the London Health Sciences Centre and the Heart Clinic at St. Joseph's Health Care. Special thanks to all of the nurses and support workers who provided first-rate homecare.
The Ennett family will receive friends at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, Ontario from 2 -5 o'clock on Sunday, April 7th.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Basilica Cathedral, 196 Dufferin Avenue in London on Monday morning, April 8th at 10 o'clock.
Private interment at a later date.
