Obituary of Gary Joseph Manders

Manders, Gary Gary Manders, in his 84th year, passed away calmly and peacefully March 20, 2019. With his wife of 60 years, Mathilda "Till" (nee Arts), by his side, his final weeks were filled with family, prayer, good food, and his own unique sense of humour. Proud father of Tony & Carol Manders, Susan Gill, Mary & Harold Smith, Carol & Eric Tadgell and Paul & Sue Manders. Loving Grandpa, Opa and Great-Grandpa to Sara Manders, Ryan Manders, Meaghen King (Chris), Anthea King, Kyle Gill (Megan), Kristen Gill (Brandon), Justin Hutchings (Emily), Owen Hutchings (Grace), Taylor Tadgell (Haylea), Colin Tadgell (Sophie), Claire Manders, Ben Manders and Holly Manders Survived by siblings, Theresa Quann, Ted Manders, Mary Brus, Harry Manders and Peter Manders. Predeceased by his parents, Anton & Mary Manders, brothers Joe and John Manders and sister Nellie Lees. Gary is also fondly remembered by the members of the Arts family. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday afternoon, March 24th from 2-5pm. Prayers will be at 2:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, on Monday, March 25 at 1:00 pm. Refreshments immediately following. Private family interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Our family thanks the many caregivers at Home Instead, South West LHIN and University Hospital nursing and palliative staff.
