Obituary of Maria Nives Profenna

Profenna, Maria Peacefully in her sleep at home on Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 Maria Profenna in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Sante for 64 years. Loving mother of Paul Profenna, Nick Profenna (Carmela), Antonella Profenna, Marina Profenna and Santino Profenna (Jeanne). Cherished Nonna of Santino, Michael (Amanda), Francesca, Leah, Wren and great-grandmother of Isabella and Liliana. Dear sister of Gaetano (Franca) D'Avirro. Dear sister in law of Graziella and Bunny. Predeceased by her parents Maria and Nicola D'Avirro and by her brothers Giuseppe and Eugene D'Avirro. Maria will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends in Canada and Italy. A heartfelt thank you to Barb, Melissa, Abdel and Katarina from St. Elizabeth Health Care and to all the nurses and staff in the Dialysis Unit at London Health Sciences Centre who provided such loving care to our mother. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock and on Saturday morning at St. John The Divine Parish, 390 Baseline Road West from 9 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum - St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to the Victoria Hospital - Dialysis Unit c/o London Health Sciences Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
