Surrounded by his family at University Hospital on January 26, 2019 John Crowther courageously passed away after a long illness at the age of 81. Loving husband of Nancy Crowther for 18 years. Beloved father of John (Rita) and Rob (Elizabeth), step-father to Stacey (Ian) Sutton. Proud grandfather of Ireland, Daniel, Hunter, Forrest, Regan, Karlee and Aaron. Brother to Linda and special uncle to Jaci Chick.
John was a 21 year survivor after a transplant of both his heart and a kidney. He was a passionate sports fan, volunteering, coaching and supporting numerous teams throughout the city. He was a fixture at the sporting events of his children and grand children. John was also a master at trivia with extensive knowledge of countless subjects. The people who engaged with John in his life always summed him up in one word........kind.
