Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Gillick

Gillick, Mary Elizabeth Passed away peacefully with family by her side after a brief illness on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Mary Elizabeth Gillick. Beloved wife of Frank Vita. Loving sister of Susan (Suse) Gillick (Ken Funstin). Predeceased by her parents James and Marjorie Gillick. Dear sister-in-law of Michael (Joan) Vita. Loving aunt to Matthew, Laura, and Mark Vita. Mary will be fondly remembered by her many cousins, friends, and neighbours. Mary was a dedicated Financial Planning consultant with Investors Group for over 30 years. She will be greatly missed by clients and colleagues alike with whom she nurtured lifelong relationships. Mary offered her time and talents to several community organizations including Merrymount Children's Centre, the London Health Sciences Foundation, and the Alzheimer Society. She also served on the Board of Directors of St. Thomas Golf and Country Club. Mary was a strong supporter of the arts, especially live theatre, and sponsored productions at both the Grand Theatre, and the London Fringe Festival. A special thank you to Dr. Blanchette, Jennifer Farquhar, and the team at the London Regional Cancer Centre for their compassionate care. Visitors will be received John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday, September 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 and on Tuesday morning from 11 o'clock until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon.
