Obituary of Sonia Eleanor Hartsell

Sonia Eleanor Hartsell (nee Harlow) passed away peacefully in her 81st year in the University Hospital Palliative Care Unit on September 2nd, 2018.  Preceded by her parents Michael and Mary, she is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Keith Hartsell, her children Robin (Brian), Senna April (Kostas) and Anthony Chuck (Helen) and cherished grandchildren Lilia, Bowen and Sylvia.  She will be missed by her sister Charlotte (Ray), her family, friends, and her many elementary and secondary school students. The family would like to thank the medical team at University Hospital, especially the nursing staff, for their care and professional efforts in keeping Sonia comfortable in her last weeks of life.  According to her wishes, there will be no formal ceremony or gathering. A private family interment in St. Peter’s cemetery will take place at a later date.  Donations in her name to any children’s charity would be appreciated, though she was quite fond of the London Middlesex Ontario Student Nutrition Program.
