Obituary of Kathleen MacDonald

MacDonald, Kathleen Surrounded by her family, Kathleen MacDonald died peacefully on Saturday, July 28 at age 86. Always full of life and vibrancy, Kathleen was the beloved mother of Cathy (Harold), Janice (Paul) and Marian (Allan). She was the cherished Nana to Jessica (Adam) and Jenny. The matriarch of the Shaw Family, she is remembered by her sisters Phyllis (Don) and Anne, her brother David and sister-in-law Gladys. She is pre-deceased by her husband Donald, her brother Gerard, brother-in-law Wilson and sister-in-law Janet. She was Auntie Kathleen to her many nieces and nephews. Kathleen leaves an extensive community of friends, new and old, and extended family in London, Wasaga Beach, Sarasota, England, Scotland, Wales and Australia. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 8 at 1:00 pm at Mary Immaculate Church, 1980 Trafalgar Road, London. A reception and celebration of Kathleen’s life will take place immediately following from 2:30 - 5:30 pm at the Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn & Conference Centre, 591 Wellington Road, London. Inurnment will take place at a later date. If desired, donations to St. Michael’s Hospital Angel Care Fund (Toronto) or the Salvation Army Centre of Hope (London) may be made in Kathleen’s memory.
