Obituary of Thomas Alfred Quigley

Obituary for Thomas Alfred Quigley (February 5, 1957 – June 18, 2018) QUIGLEY, Thomas Alfred - Passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by his children on June 18, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tom was a devoted, and proud father to his three children whom he raised as a single parent while also managing, and operating his business. Tom had a love for nature, and he was passionate about sport fishing, boating, landscaping, and spending time with his family at the cottage on Lake of Bays. As a lifelong, loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Tom said that he bled blue, and it was well known that his all-time favourite player was Dave Keon. He had a deep-rooted interest in politics, which began in childhood when his father ran in the 1962 Canadian federal election as a Liberal Member of Parliament. Tom was predeceased by his beloved parents, Lucy Agnes (nee Wintermeyer), and Thomas Henry (“Harry”) Quigley. He leaves his three loving children Jennifer (Ed), Colleen, Tom, and his two grandchildren Spencer, and Charlotte. At Tom’s request, cremation has taken place, and no formal services will be held. A celebration of Tom’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Thomas Quigley, would be appreciated by the family at www.cancer.ca or 1-888-939-3333. (John T. Donohue Funeral Home)
