Obituary of Werner Knoch
Werner Knoch passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2018, at Henley Place in London, Ontario. He leaves behind his two sons — Steve (Margo) Knoch of Toronto and Chris Knoch of London as well as his grandchildren — Jen Knoch, Jaime Knoch, Kelly Knoch, Kennedi Knoch, and Ellena Knoch. Werner emigrated from Germany in xxxx with $5 in his pocket and a fierce will to succeed. He and his “sweetheart,” Trudy, built a wonderful life for themselves in London, Ontario. A man of many talents — pipe organ builder, tool and die maker, master carpenter, opera singer, and finally entrepreneur — Werner surprised and delighted us all with his many contributions throughout life. A self-made man, he built and ran Knoch Manufacturing in London, Ontario, for many years. Some of his finest friendships were made among the staff who he worked with at Knoch Manufacturing. Werner devoted his time to his family, his work, and his many hobbies. He would do anything for anyone if he found them in need. He loved golf at the Hunt Club and Highland Golf Club, cruising and the raising of a glass (or many!) with friends. We will miss him greatly.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday, July 3rd from 6-9 o’clock, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning, July 4th at 11 o’clock. Cremation with interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to House Bethesda Orphanage, Mae Salong, Thailand (cheques made to Steve Knoch, c/o Donohue Funeral Home) would be appreciated.
