Obituary of Thea Hiemstra

Peacefully at Sakura House Hospice on Friday, June 15, 2018 Thea Hiemstra in her 53rd year.  Beloved wife of 32 years of Duane Hiemstra.  Loving mother of Nadine and Sara.  Cherished daughter of Jane and Sid Koopmans. Dear sister of Elska (Rob), Tineke (Henry) and Chuck (Lindsay). Dear daughter-in-law of Ollie and Willie Hiemstra. Dear sister-in-law of Brian (Carol Ann), Sandra (Paul), Mark (Cathy) and Heather (Larry). Aunt Thea will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Holland. To know Thea is to know kindness, generosity and compassion. She truly made the world a better place.

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street in London, on Monday afternoon from 2-4 and 7-9 o’clock. A Funeral Service will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 716 Classic Drive in London, at 1:00pm on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations to Christian Blind Missions.
