Always a gentleman. Unwavering professional standards & ethics. Few ever come close to the high bar and benchmarks he set. I will be forever grateful for Mr. Longfield's candor & counsel from my days working with him at the radio stations. Wish I could be there today to say goodbye to him one last time. Kathleen I am so sorry to hear that David has passed so suddenly. He was truly a great guy. We always looked forward to seeing you both at St James Church suppers where we could catch up on what was happening in both our worlds. Sadly that won't happen any more. Deepest sympathy to Dave's family. I enjoyed working with him for many years and missed him when he retired. Will always have fond memories of him and how thoughtful he would always be to me....he knew I loved races, derbies and plays and would often offer me tickets to such events. Rest in peace Mr. Longfield....you will always be remembered.

To the family; I am incredibly sorry to hear to passing of this gentleman. No amount of words or emotion can possibly reflect this fellow's lust for excitement I witnessed. I had the pleasure to work along side David in the early 00's. David's day seem to constantly surprise and deliver in ways that always brought a smile. Sans pink sheets. David you help guide me in ways I truly appreciated and to this day still reference some of your ways. You out ran, impressed and always delivered Sir. The goal light behind that net is forever lit. Upon my leave from the group my last words I expressed in my note to the teams still stands true.... 'if anyone can figure it out; please tell me how Longfield does it'. As I speak to friends now about our fun together the amount of stories we are now sharing David.. are very beautiful to speak of. Sad day. Yet loving and remarkable stories from all.
