Obituary of John Joseph Sleegers

Sleegers, John J. Passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital on May 13, 2018 in his 76th year. Dear husband of Dorothy (Lenders) for 52 years. Loving father of David & Sandra, Richard & Lee-Ann and Robert & Christine. Proud grandfather of Matthew, Karen, Monica, Jamie and Rachel. Predeceased by his son Gary (2017) and his parents Henry (2001) and Gerda (2004). Brother of Peter (2014) & Sue, Tony (2012) & Mary, Bill & Irma, Annette, Harry & Anna Marie, Joke (1947), Joe & Inez (1993), Gerry, Al, Louis & Joanne, Jackie & Mike. Brother-in-law of Frank & Iris, Jake & Joe, Peter & Wendy, Anne & Ric, Gerald & Brenda, Mary & Peter. Proud owner of Sleegers Electric for over 50 years. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street on Thursday, May 17 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary Immaculate Parish, 1980 Trafalgar Street on Friday morning, May 18 at 10am. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. Those who wish to make a monetary donation are asked to consider Canadian Blood Services (www.blood.ca).
