Dear Brenda, my thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.
As you may not recognize the name, my Mom is at Marianvilla 3rd floor and we often talked when visiting our loved ones.
I always teased Hans about his lovely purse and how it matched his outfit. Always got a big smile.
So sorry for your loss.
Big Hug

Very sorry to hear that Hans passed away . There are so many good memories of Hans in the days when we were colleagues at CCH, especially his great sense of humour and dry wit that kept us all on our toes. Most of all, I remember Hans’ kindness and helpful nature towards students and staff. Sincere condolences to The Beretta family.

We have known Hans for over fifty years, thirty of those as close friends and Colleagues. He has left us with only positive memories of a learned and honest man, with a gentle sense of humour and a practical approach to life- the perfect antidote to present day pessimism. For this, we thank him, and realise the loss he must be to his family and friends, with whom we deeply sympathise. He will rest in peace.

Dear Brenda, Brenda, Jim, David, Brian & families,
My love, prayers and deepest condolences on the passing of Hans. I say passing and not loss as I believe he is not lost, but has moved on. He is part of all of you and all those whom he touched in his life, including me.
Hans’ life was well lived and he was well loved!
I loved his smile, twinkling blue eyes, sense of humor (I felt sorry for the squirrels), matter of fact solutions to life’s problems, love of family and generosity to name just a few ways he was special. KFC at every picnic in the park, skotch at every reunion!
I know this is so hard.
I wish I could be there to hug you all.
Please know that I am standing with you and sending my love. XO
Johanna

Kathleen and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Brenda and Hans's family. We missed you both at mass on Palm Sunday and there was no mention
of what had happened, only as I read the news paper Monday morning, did I see the Obituary. We were surprised by the notice.
We will miss seeing Hans and Brenda at Mount Hope. We will miss his smile
and his presence; especially walking into the lobby café and seeing Hans and Brenda
enjoying a cup of coffee as we would strolled over to say our hello.
We will miss seeing Hans rolling his wheel chair past my mom's room.
Brenda you were such a great support for Hans, always there with him.
Our most sincere condolences for your loss.
