Obituary of Anna Adriana Van Goor

Van Goor, Anna Adriana – Peacefully passed away at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll, on March 13, 2018 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Lambertus "Bert" Vangoor for 59 years. Loving mother of Martin (Marianne) Vangoor, Joanne (Piet) Schoenmaker and Mary (Stephen) Young. Proud grandmother of Carolyn (Tim) Bentum, Christina (Rik) Kool, Alaina (Greg) Vanderleeuw, Paul (Stephanie) Schoenmaker, Yvonne (Marc) Stalder, Mark (Kim) Schoenmaker, Tyler Young, Breanne Young, and to 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her grandson Kyle Young (1988). She will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends in both Canada and Holland. Following her marriage to Bert, Anna immigrated to Canada in 1956, devoting herself as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid baker, seamstress, and she loved to cross-stich and read. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 from 5 – 8 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road West, on Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or St. John the Divine Church would be appreciated.
