SHORT, Claire Theresa –

Passed away peacefully at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital on Sunday, November 12, 2017 in her 79th year, Claire Short. Beloved wife of Hugh Short for 50 years and of the late Reginald Foster (1964). Dear mother of Theresa Short, Sheila Clarke (late Guy), Patricia Leonard (Chris) and Susan Macedo (Firmino). Cherished grandmother of Lisa, Joshua, Kaley and Grace. She is predeceased by her sisters Eleanor Cawley and Anne Lundy. Claire will be sadly missed by her good friend Mary Dubicki, as well as by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A longtime member of St. John the Divine Church as well as Past President of the Catholic Women's League. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Base Line Road West, on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Wednesday afternoon at 3:15. Donations to the St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation – Breast Care Program, would be appreciated.
