Obituary of Eleanor Juanita Burke

BURKE, Eleanor Juanita (nee Chapman) Peacefully, and in the arms of Angels, Eleanor Juanita Burke, in her 89th year, made her final journey home to God on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Surrounded at her residence by her loving family, Eleanor passed away with both dignity and grace. Beloved wife of the late Vincent Patrick Burke (2008), the love of her life. Devoted and loving mother of Therese, Chris (Elly), Kathy, Eileen, Michael, Kevin and Dan (Ingrid). Adoring grandmother to Jessica (Ryan), Jaclyn (Scott), Shane (Lacee), Dylan (Aggie), Danny, Jessica, Joy, Joshua (Lisa), Jacob and Johanna. Proud great-grandmother to Delaney, Thomas, Janessa, Marshall and Sutton. Eleanor is survived by her brother Douglas, his wife Madalene and her many, many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday evening from 5-8 pm. A celebration of Eleanor's life will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Friday, June 9th at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Internment at St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date.
