Obituary of Paul Michael Southon

SOUTHON, Paul Michael – At L.H.S.C. University Hospital on Saturday, April 15, 2017, Paul Southon, beloved husband of Lise Marie Southon (nee Léger) in his 86th year. Dear father of Suzanne, Michael (Katie), John (Debbie), Tom (Leslie ) and Diane Lantz (Phil). Cherished grandfather of Jeff, Mark, Jillian, Kaitlin, Graeme, Michael, Alicia, Patrick, Heather, Treasured great-grandfather of Camila. Paul is survived by his sister Mary-Ann Martin (late Paul) and his sister-in-law Rita Southon. Predeceased by his brother William Southon. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitors will be received at the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 485 Windermere Road, on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 1 pm until the Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the St. Joseph Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. SOUTHON, Paul Michael - With his family surrounding him, in his 86th year, Paul passed away peacefully on April 15, 2017 at University Hospital, London, Ontario. Paul leaves behind his loving wife and soul mate of 65 years Lise. Paul also leaves his daughter Suzanne, sons Michael (Katie), John (Debbie), Tom (Leslie), and daughter Diane (Phil). Paul was grandfather to Jeff, Mark, Jillian, Mike, Alicia, Kaitlin, Graeham, Patrick, Heather and great-grandfather to Camila. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Alice and his older brother Bill. He is survived by his younger sister Mary Ann Martin. Paul's family would like to thank Jacquie for her loving support during this time. Additionally, we would like to acknowledge the kindness of the Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Visitors will be received at St. Joseph's Chapel, 485 Windermere Road, on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 12:15 pm until the time of the Memorial Funeral Mass at 1 pm Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
