Obituary of Raymond Dudley Cheele

Cheele, Raymond "Pete" It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond "Pete" Cheele at Parkwood Veteran's Hospital on Friday, January 27, 2017 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Mabel (1996). Dear father of Betty (Fred) Want and Mary (Larry) Holmes. Predeceased by his sons Robert Cree (2014) and Michael Cheele (1996). Loved father-in-law of Barbara Cree. Loving grandfather of Kevin (Tammy) Want, Kimberley (Pat) Eitel, Kerry Lynch, Brianna (Dan) Sudnik, Courtney (Rob) Fullarton, Patricia (Aaron) Cree and Cathy Cree. Proud great-grandfather of Shawn, Kristy, Cole, Ryan, Riley, Logan, Christopher, Jesse and Cody. Beloved brother of Daphne Rutherford and brother in law of the late Robert Rutherford (2006) and the late Russell Cheele (1928). Pete was a WWII veteran of the RCAF and had a varied longtime career with the Royal Bank of Canada. Pete was an avid sportsman in his school days and enjoyed many interests over the years playing cards, bowling, curling, golf and of course spending time with family. Special thanks to the staff of Parkwood Veterans Hospital, 2 Perth Unit for their kindness and care. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Francis-St. Martin Church, 46 Cathcart Street, on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Veterans Care Parkwood Institute c/o St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation of London or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
