Obituary of Elisabeth Quintus

Quintus, Elisabeth (Betty) Born 89 years ago in Pivnice, Yugoslavia, passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London, on Saturday September 24, 2016. Predeceased by her husband and best friend Leopold (Poldi) in 2002. Loving mother of Kathy & Dan Gallagher (Windsor), Christian, Rose & Clyde Walton, George & Cynthia Quintus, Betty Quintus-Balch (2011) & son-in-law David Balch. Precious Oma of Morgan Gallagher (Houston, TX), Katie & Gert Sokoli (Windsor), Sarah Walton & Genevieve Walton & Lindsay Reid-Loiselle. Loving Great Oma of Max & Emma Sokoli. Elisabeth immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1956 to join Poldi in London and start their new life together. She was proud of her German roots and was a member and a volunteer at the German Canadian Club for over 50 years. Betty loved dancing & will be fondly remembered for her big family dinners, baking & her beautiful flower gardens. Elisabeth was a former proud employee of St. Joseph Hospital before retirement. Visiting at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, ON N6B 2N6 on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. On Friday, family and friends are invited to meet after 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 777 Valetta Street, London, ON N6H2Y9 for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London, ON. Prayers Thursday evening at 7:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate any memorial donations be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
