I wish we had got to know each other better,Desmond. I am fortunate to have the memories of getting together at the old house along Windermere/Thames and exploring the extent of London way back when that's as far as it went. And now that wilderness has become the text and fabric of our lives for us to tame each in our various ways.
You will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the McCredie family. I got to know Desmond while I was at Western and on a sailing trip in Nova Scotia. He had a great sense of humour and always made me laugh. You will be missed!

My deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones. Desmond, John and myself went on a few sailing trips together across the lake, from Toronto to Port Dalhousie. I will never forget all the laughs, awesome discussions, debates and just pure fun I had the chance and privilege to share with him. Desmond and John are now sailing distant waters. Fair wind my friends.

Quick wit and brilliant mind is exactly how I remember Desmond. We had a lot of fun together as kids. Very sorry for your loss.

Dearest Eithne,
How sorry I am to hear of the loss of your beloved brother. I, too, know the enormous pain of losing a sibling. Because the strongest DNA is between siblings, it is a particularly staggering loss.
I did not know Desmond, but I have known and always loved you with a special adoration, and I understand at least some of what you are feeling. How fortunate you were to have each other for the time that you did. Nothing can ever erase the love you shared or the memories of better times you had together.
I believe Desmond has gone to a kinder, gentler place, but for you, his dear family, only experiencing the grief and allowing the passage of time will soften this blow. But you know all that. Once time has passed, may you find comfort in the knowledge that, at least for a while, you and Desmond had that treasured relationship that only siblings know.
Please know that I am with you in spirit and am here if the spirit moves you to reach out. My heart aches for your family, my tears are your tears, Dear One.
Love Always and Forever,
Sarah
