Obituary of Joseph Feely

FEELY, Joseph - Peacefully at his daughter's home in London on May 10, 2016 in his 84th year. Beloved father of Kathleen McArthur (Dan), Mary Feely (Glenn Clarke) and Joanne De Graaf (Jim). Loving grandfather of Phillip, Ryan and Shawn McArthur, Sophia and Eric De Graaf and great-grandfather to Michael McArthur. Born in County Limerick, Ireland on February 22, 1933 and adopted and raised by the Faley family. Joe grew up on the Faley peat farm with four brothers Paddy, Mick, Bill and Dan and his sister Mary. He left for England in 1950 where he worked in construction for three and a half years, before returning to work on the family farm in 1953. Immigrating to Canada in November 1956 and began working with CP Express only 5 days after his arrival. Upon arriving to Canada he found a home with the McGovern family. Joe would leave CP Express ten years later and go on to work at Radcliffe Copper & Brass, where he spent 31 years before his retirement in 1997. On October 19, 1963, he married Lynda Moon, his late wife of 43 years. Lynda passed away on December 20, 2006. Joe remained a widower until October 2014 when he met the lovely Carole Durochie, with whom he enjoyed a loving friendship until his passing on May 10th. Joseph Feely epitimized kindness, generosity and love. To know Joe was to love Joe.
