Obituary of Gerard Walter Schultz

Peacefully at L.H.S.C. – Victoria Hospital with his family at his side, on Thursday, April 14, 2016 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Brenda (nee Davis) for 45 years. Loving father of Carolyn Parkes (Ben) and Emily Roadhouse (Ken). Proud and adoring Papa of Davis, Eleanor, Logan, Violet and Quinn. Cherished brother of Mary Lou Schultz, brother-in-law of Larry Turnbull (Connie), and uncle of Colin Turnbull. Gerry will be fondly remembered by his many cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Dorothy Schultz, sister-in-law Ann Turnbull, and nephew Christopher Turnbull. Gerry's family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dr. David Leasa and Dr. Ann Spence, as well as the caring nurses and staff of the CCTC at Victoria Hospital. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday, April 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Prayers at 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Justin's Church, 855 Jalna Boulevard, on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to L.H.S.C. Critical Care Trauma Centre – Victoria Hospital, Threads of Life - Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, or Hospice Services, Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated by the family.
