Obituary of Anthony Lucius Capitano

Capitano, Anthony Passed away peacefully at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital on Saturday, March 12, 2016, Tony Capitano passed away in his 95th year. Devoted husband of the late Dorothy Joan (2012) for more than 60 years. Cherished father of Lisa Daniel (John), Tony Capitano (Barb), Christine Capitano (Stephen) and Carla Kivell (Brent). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Kristie, Greg (Jessie), Melissa (Sheldon), Courtney (Ryan), Leah (Wassim) and great-grandchildren Isaac, Logan and Cheyenne. Predeceased by his siblings Victor (2005), Joseph (1973), Frank (1996), Gus (1998), Vittorio (1922), Mary Loree (1998), Theresa Adams (1999), Helen Marshall (2002) and Amelia Capitano (2003). Remembered by Kay Capitano, Betty Capitano, Carol Stephen, Shirley Whitney, Don and Lois James. Uncle Tony will be deeply missed by his many cherished nieces and nephews. The family wish to thank the staff at Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Thursday evening from 7-9 o'clock. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue at Richmond Street on Friday morning, March 18th, at 10 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. A private family interment will take place at St. Peter's cemetery at a later date.
