Obituary of Antonio DeVincenzo
DeVincenzo, Italo Antonio
Passed away peacefully at University Hospital on Saturday February 20th,
2016 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of 58 years to Maria Carmela
DeVincenzo (Delle Donne). Loving father of Pat (Cindy), Josie (Ascanio),
Joanna (late Dale) and Danny (Shellee). Proud "Papa Tony" of Anthony,
Danielle (Mike),Tianna, Olivia, Rachel, Alexa, David and Jeremy. He is
survived by his in laws Michelina, Pasqualina, Donato, Lina (John), Elvira
(Salvatore) and their families. Predeceased by his parents Pasquale and
Pasqualina, his siblings Nicola, Maria, Matteo, Teresa, Giovanna, and by
his father and mother in law Giuseppe Delle Donne and Immacolata Pacifico.
Born in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Italy, Antonio, his wife and children
immigrated to London, Ontario Canada in 1962 where he continued to work
hard as a baker and business owner. He owned Italia Baking and Shaw Auto
Recycling with both of his sons. He also worked at Westinghouse and
General Motors. He was a proud member of the Marconi Club and he loved to
travel. He will be sadly missed by numerous relatives and friends in the
Italian and Canadian communities. A heartfelt thank-you to the Doctors,
nurses and staff on the 8th floor of University Hospital, Dianne Platt of
CCAC, Dr. Al Khatib, the staff at the Dearness Day Program and to all of
his home care workers for their compassionate care and kindness. Visitors
will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street
at King Street, London on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Prayers
Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's
Church, 345 Lyle Street on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock followed by
entombment at Holy Family Mausoleum - St. Peter's Cemetery. In memory of
Antonio donations to the Parkinson Society of Ontario would be
