Obituary of Phyllis Margaret McDonald

McDonald Phyllis At Parkwood Hospital on Tuesday, January 19th, 2016 Phyllis Margaret McDonald (nee Poplett) in her 93rd year, beloved wife of the late Dan McDonald, much loved mother of Lynn (Bob Adams), Dan McDonald (Mary), cherished Nan of Christine McManus (Joe), Carolyn Morrison (Rich), Theresa Adams-Barrick (David), Alexis Price-Todd (William) and Danny McDonald. Loving great-Nan of Patrick McManus, sister of Eileen (Derek Edwards), sister-in-law of Joan Poplett, aunt of many nieces and nephews in England, and long-time friend of Kathleen Shepherd. Phyllis was a war bride when she began her life in Canada. She was active with Cub mothers at Holy Cross Church, St. Bernadette's PTA and a devoted worker at the Red Cross Society. The celebration of Phyllis's life will be held at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, January 22, at 12 noon with Rev. John Jasica, followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Francis-St. Martin's Parish Hall, kindly provided by St. Martin's CWL.
