Obituary of Virginia Curcio

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Virginia “Gina” Curcio (nee Esposito).  Gina passed on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario at the age of 98.  Dear wife of the late Mario Curcio (1986) of 37 years.  Loving mother of John and Vincent Curcio.  Adored grandma of Clarissa (Tony) Veliz and loving great-grandma of Mateo and Marco.  Dear sister-in-law of Frank (Maria) Curcio, Ortenzia Valente (the late Manfredo), Maria Curcio (the late Umberto), Gioconda (Angelo) Trovato and Betina Curcio (the late Domenico).  Predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Elizabetta Esposito, her sisters Concettina (Dominic) Sgromo and Angela (Santo) Federico and brother Salvatore (Caterina) Esposito, and in-laws Iolanda (GiovamBattista) Loberto, Concetta (Antonio) Gugliotta, Vincenza (Vito) Buragina, Velia (Antonio) Bova and Letizia (Luciano) Mazzariol. Cherished by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Venezuela and Argentina.

Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. With prayers at 4:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, London on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11am. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Gina.
