Obituary of Vicki Lynn Macauley

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Vicki Lynn Macauley (nee Hie), who died peacefully and surrounded by family at the age of 71. Vicki is predeceased by her parents Corina and Gordon Culbert, her brother Ron Patrick, and her son Jason Macauley. Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Bruce, her children Shawn (Sarah) and Sarah (Paul), and her beloved grandchildren Ava, Leanndra, Sophie, and Grayson.

Vicki had a rich and productive career at Western University’s Students’ Council, having dedicated 42 years in various roles until she retired in March of 2024. She was a constant and supportive presence in her children’s sports endeavors and activities and was immensely proud of her grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Drs. Hamilton and Stack, and the palliative care team that supported Vicki over the past couple of months for their outstanding care, service, and compassion.

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday, September 24 from 4pm – 7pm.
