Obituary of Alceo Valentino De Odorico

It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Alceo De Odorico. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. Loving husband of 63 years to Liliana De Odorico and dearly beloved father of Iris (husband Michael) and cherished nonno of his only granddaughter Avianna. He is survived by his brother Gianni (Pia), his nephew Carlo and niece Monica. Alceo is also survived by his sister-in-law Ennia Piccini and her family. He was predeceased by his parents Enrico and Ancilla De Odorico. Alceo and Liliana immigrated to Canada in 1966 and made London their permanent home although they always treasured frequent visits to their native Italy to visit family.

Alceo enjoyed a successful career and worked relentlessly and tirelessly in pursuit of perfection as a builder and carpenter. He happily continued to give his time and expertise long after retirement as a consultant. Despite his strong work ethic, his unwavering love for his family will live forever in our hearts and is by far his greatest legacy to us. He exhibited this with his countless selfless acts throughout his entire life, to the very end.

Alceo will be deeply missed, and his memory is etched in our hearts permanently.

Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on August 21 from 3:00-6:00 pm (prayers at 4:00). The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Justins (855 Jalna Blvd) on August 22, 11:00 am.
