Mader, Frank Harold

Peacefully at hospice surrounded by his loving family Dr. Frank Harold Mader passed away on June 17, 2024 after a courageous fight against cancer, age 90 years.  Dear husband of Edna McDermott and the late Joan Elanor Mader (2002).  Loving father to Michael and his wife Barbara, Dan and his wife Maria, Maureen and her partner Mike Verellen, and David and his wife Lynette, step father to Patrick McDermott and his wife Beth, Terry McDermott and his wife Tanina, Brian McDermott and Kevin McDermott.  Beloved brother of Sister Theresa Mader of the Sisters of St. Joseph.  Predeceased by his sisters Mary (Fred) Kohut and Julie (Len) Strauss.  Grandfather to Josh, Jason, Tini, Ben, Rebecca, Melissa, Anne Marie, Fraser and David, step grandfather to Roxanne, Pauline, Debra, Shea, Adam, Valerie, Amber and William.  Beloved great grandfather to 8 great grandchildren.  Beloved uncle and friend to many.  Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday evening, June 21 from 6-8 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. George Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, on Saturday morning, June 22 at 10 o'clock.  Those wishing to join the family via stream may do so at www.sgtvlondon.ca.  Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Prostate Cancer c/o LHSF.ca or Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be appreciated.
