I had the privilege and pleasure to work along side Muriel as a charge nurse in the NICU. Her no nonsense approach kept as all in line. Her wicked sense of humor helped us on some of those tough days. I can still hear her laugh! We would chuckle at her pauses during her taped report after a night shift. Just a little fast forwarding for us listening as she had taken a little nap. My fondest memory is on the night my eldest daughter was born. My husband was holding her just after delivery. In rushes this masked nurse, she said hi and swiftly took the baby from his arms. She said very seriously, "we have a baby pool going on and we need her weight". My husband looked at me and asked "who was she?", with a smile and a chuckle I said just Muriel! She returned shortly after with my daughter wrapped and said "congratulations, gave me a hug and told us who won the pool!"
My sincere condolences to your family. Muriel was one of a kind and we are all so blessed to have known her. Rest peacefully MurMur.♥️
