Peacefully at Amica on Sunday, April 28, 2024 Walter Joseph Attard at the age of 100. Cherished husband of 70 years of the late Martha Ann (nee Vella) Attard. Much loved father of Emmanuel Attard (Linda), Mary Attard-Frost, Joseph Attard (Lesley), Charles Attard (Eleanor) and Wally Attard (Irene). Proud Grandfather of Jo-Anne (Sean), Heather, Jeff (Melinda), Blair, Jon (Jacquie), Amy (John), Michael (Brenna), David (Michelle), Joey, Charlene (Kevin), Christina (Andrew), Wally (Daniella) and Sarah. Treasured great-grandfather of Olivia, Ben, Archie, Olive, Harvey, Megan, Elise, Daryn, Emily, Robyn, Joe, Sam, Mike, Zack, Tyler, Cameron, Evelyn. Dear brother in law of Mary (late Jim) Vella. Walter will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews in Canada and Malta.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Amica, the palliative care team, the VON, St. Elizabeth Nursing Care and the many neighbours for their care of Walter.  Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Thursday, May 2 from 2-4 and 6-8 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1 Fallons Lane at Huron Street on Friday morning, May 3 at 11 o’clock. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
