Obituary of Walter George Ostafijczuk

Walter Ostafijczuk

100 years of Dad Jokes is sadly over.

In loving memory of Walter Ostafijczuk who passed away peacefully Tuesday November 21st after a long and fulfilling life.

As a Corporal in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corp, Dad embodied bravery and empathy.  His commitment to service was a testament to his noble character, helping those who were suffering and comforting souls during tumultuous times.

Beyond his military tenure, Walter was an entrepreneur, building a successful Blueprinting business for over four decades.  Walter was a beloved father to Gregory Ostafijczuk (the late Sharon), Stephen Ostafijczuk (Teresita) also of Edmonton and of course his favourite daughter, Rosemary Ostafijczuk.  Predeceased by his loving wife Jennie (nee Cebulski) and Joan (nee Pocock).

Special thanks to the staff and residents of Maple View Terrace, who took wonderful care of Walter.

Special mention goes to Chompers and Maddy.

Dad's humour was infectious.  With a quick wit and a ready smile, he effortlessly brightened the lives of everyone who knew him.  Come family and all friends of the family to celebrate Dad.
