Edith Dans – Hollingsworth – Coon

Born July 24, 1956. Died May 19, 2023. Edith, 66, leaves her husband, Michael Coon, daughter, Erin (Michael) and granddaughters Catherine and Lauren, sister Lorrie, and brothers Joe and Ronnie. Predeceased by her first husband Tom Hollingsworth (1998), parents Kenneth and Henrietta Dans, and brothers Doug and Ken. She excelled in her career in IT, and subsequently, in the family business. Edith filled the room with vibrancy, laughter and warmth. Coco and Lulu, her granddaughters adored their Gigi and she, them. She spent countless happy hours playing, crafting and teaching them so many wonderful things about the world. She had a great thirst for learning, taking courses, reading, travelling and experimenting. Gardening, baking, cooking and giving to others were her favourite pastimes. She leaves her beloved wonderful companion, her dog, Baloo. Sweet, gentle, compassionate and full of life, Edith created a treasured and special presence in many lives, a space that will not now be empty, but full of memories of her sharing her infectious happiness and love for all. We thank all those that cared for Edith in her last journey - the oncology team of the London Regional Cancer Program, staff of Sisters of St. Joseph Hospice and the many friends that showed their care and devotion.
