Obituary of Lillian Marie Hennessy

HENNESSY, Lillian

March 5, 1938 – April 14, 2023

Lillian Hennessy passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her children, on April 14th, 2023. She lived for her family and will be remembered for how fiercely she loved them all. Lillian was a beloved wife of late Gerald Hennessy (1995) and an adoring mother of Shawn (1980), Mark (Maureen), Dean, Glenn, and Tracey (Mike). Lillian was also proud grandmother of Angela DelZotto (David); Sarah Denstedt, Zachery Brown, Rachel Brown (Michele), Ryan Hennessy (Brittany), Shawn Hennessy (Zakia), Jordan Hennessy (Christian), Amanda Hennessy (Mitch), Lauren Hennessy, Louie Hennessy, Jerry Hennessy, Jeanne Hennessy, Jacob Hennessy and Abagail Hennessy.  She was also a great-grandmother to Jada-Lynn and Teagan Hennessy, Emilio and Ruby DelZotto, Shamus and Zoey Hennessy. She was a dear sister of Michael Uniac (Diane), Maryelena Kelly (Frank) and Joe Uniac (Vicky). As well as to her late siblings, Bill (Judy), Gerry (Candy), Frank (Lynn) and Paul Uniac. The family would also like to give a special thank-you to Dr. Hamilton and all the staff at St. Elizabeth Health Care, as well as a very loving friend and neighbour, Janet Patrois. 

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday, April 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 o'clock. Prayers will be held at 3:30pm.  Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis - St. Martins Catholic Church, 46 Cathcart Street, on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock.  Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to St Elizabeth Health Care would be greatly appreciated.
