Christopher Henry Kelly was lost too soon on March 13th, 2023, after a long battle with a degenerative spinal condition. Chris is survived by his son Nick Hemsworth, mother Mary Elena Kelly, father Frank Kelly, sister Francine Kelly-Hooper, brother Sean Kelly, niece Shannon Hooper and nephews Benton Hooper and Joshua Kelly. Heartfelt mention to the Hennessy family who always provided Chris with a home-away-from-home: Uncle Gerry, Aunt Lillian and cousins Dean, Glen, Mark, Shawn and Tracey. Chris was born on August 9th 1964 in London Ontario. He attended Catholic Central High and Beal High Schools where he competed on their hockey and football teams. Chris completed Navy basic training when he was 21 years old before starting his long career with the Local 663 Steamfitters Association. He was a kind and thoughtful soul who will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. Although we are heart broken to lose you Chris, we are also consoled by the end of your pain. Love you always and forever. All of the funeral arrangements will take place in London, Ontario. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home (362 Waterloo Street) on Thursday March 16th from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00. Prayers will be held at 3:30. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martins Catholic Church (46 Cathcart Street) on Friday March 17th at 11:00 am. The burial will take place afterwards at St. Peter’s Cemetery (806 Victoria Street).

There will be two separate receptions that everyone is welcome to attend. A light lunch will be held at the St. Martins church hall at approximately 2:00. Debbie Uniac will host a drop-in dinner event at her home (1707 Healy Road), which will begin after 4:00.

While flowers are appreciated, our family would like to suggest memorial donations be made to Spinal Cord Injury Ontario or a favourite charity in Chris’s name.
