It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our adored mom Catherine Mary Helen Holmes on March 7, 2023. We were everything to her and she was everything to us. She was our world and everything we could have wanted in a mom. She is missed immensely by her sons, Matthew Cashman (Rachael Proulx) and Nathan Cashman (Vi Vo) and her beloved grandchildren, Victoria and William. Cathy is predeceased by her parents, Phillip Holmes and Ursula Wrinn. She will be greatly missed by her loving siblings: Phyllis Holmes (Brian), Pat Holmes, Ella Holmes (Brad), Mike Holmes (Debbie), Jamie Holmes (Trudy), and Kenny Holmes along with her extended family. She will also be missed by her former husband Mike Cashman, brother in-law Dan Cashman (Bonnie), and mother in-law, Pat Cashman. One of Cathy’s great joys in life was spending time with her family and gaggle of galpals. While Cathy was known for her legendary date squares, the enduring impact she had on others was through her kindness, generosity, even-keeled nature and her unwavering dedication to supporting others in need. 

Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, London, Ontario on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. A Celebration of Cathy’s Life will follow from 1:00 to 2:00pm in the John T. Donohue Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests; in lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the London Food Bank in Cathy’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
