Lucia "Lucy" Benvenuta Zambon
Peacefully at home on Saturday, December 17, 2022, Lucia Benvenuta Zambon of London in her 61st year. Predeceased by her parents Eugenio Zambon (2008) and Antonia Zambon (nee De Candido) (2009). Grandparents Benvenuta and Emilio Zambon (Italy), Felice and Lucia De Candido (Italy). Loving and devoted sister of Emilio Zambon and Roberto Zambon (Cheryl). Loving and devoted aunt of Johnathan Zambon. He was the light of her life. “Auntie Lucy” and Johnathan shared a special connection and were movie buddies, often sharing laughs and jokes.
Aunt Lucy rarely missed a soccer or hockey game and always stepped up when Johnathan needed a ride. Many will remember her cheering from the side lines for her special nephew. Special friend to Janice Balch. Lucy is survived by her many zia’s, zio’s, and cousins in both Canada and Italy. She always kept in touch and had updates to share to all.
Lucy was a true dog lover, and it was always evident how special and well cared for her pets were, Denver, Max, and Bandit. Lucy was a proud member of the Canadian Payroll Association Past Chair, Board of directors (2016 – 2017). She worked for Ceridian for 25 years (Senior Service Consultant).
Lucy was also a part time Continuing Education Instructor at Fanshawe College. In her free time, she loved to travel especially to her beloved Italy and was always up for a road trip and a good game of bowling.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, December 21st from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Donohue chapel on Thursday December 22nd, 2022, at 10:00am. Inurnment Holy Family Mausoleum – St. Peter’s Cemetery.
