Surrounded by family, Mike peacefully passed away at LHSC University Hospital on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 just prior to his 78th birthday on August 24th.   Loving husband of 49 years to Shirley Maroney and very proud father of Jason (Bobbi) Maroney, Lance (Meaghan) Maroney, Curtis Maroney and Ryan Maroney.  Even prouder grandpa of Ty, Kaden, Charlee, Piper, Brooklyn, Corrah, and Mylah.  Dear brother of late John, late Sheila Berke, late James Patrick, Gordon, Carney, Craig and Martin as well as brother in law of late Stanley Cherkas, late John Cherkas and Edward (Anne) Cherkas.  Uncle Mike will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families all across Canada.  A memorial service will be held at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, August 24th at 12 noon. A celebration of Mike's 78th birthday and life will follow at the Wortley Road House. In lieu of flowers, donations to the I.C.U or Multi-Organ Transplant Unit c/o LHSF.ca would be appreciated.
