Norman Couture

Obituary of Norman Henry Couture

COUTURE, Norman – July 20, 1939 – July 15, 2022

Norm Couture made his final exit on Friday, July 15, 2022.  He died suddenly, in London, Ontario with his wife Irene holding his hand as she often did throughout their 59 years of marriage.

Norm was born in Blind River, Ontario and was predeceased by his parents Rachelle [Bourgeois] & Joseph Couture and his 3 siblings Donald Couture [spouse Maureen], Dolores Robinson and Laurette Balina.

Norm was a kind, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and great uncle and friend to many.  Norm’s greatest accomplishment was his family.  He taught us that the only thing more important than our limited time, is who we choose to spend it with.  He always chose to spend his time with family and a few close friends.

Norm is survived by his loving wife Irene and their 3 sons: Jeffrey [Lisa], David [Carolyn], Chris [Laurel], 8 grandchildren: Mark; Meaghan, Brian, Lindsay, Laura, Nicole, Sarah, and Caleb and 1 great grandson Milo, with 2 new great grandchildren to arrive shortly.  He is also survived by 12 loving nieces and nephews and their spouses and families: Paul, Suzanne, Denise, Michelle, Allan, Annette, Marielle, Marc, Danielle, Laurie, Alan, and Norman.  Norm loved and was greatly loved by his mother-in-law Mary Horiszny [1913-2010] and sister-in-law Kay Horiszny and many caring friends and their families.

Thanks to the doctors and nurses at University Hospital Emergency, London, Ontario for their kindness, care and comfort to both Norm and Irene.
