Suddenly and unexpectedly at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellettte Campus on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 Mary Tukara at the age of 82 years.  Beloved wife of 62 years of Ted Tukara.  Loving mother of Tilda Robson (Brady), Marie Tukara (Brian VanNoggeren) and Margaret Tukara (Matthew McConnell). Proud grandma of Jacob and Sean (Amanda).  Predeceased by her brother John Brkljacic.  Dear aunt of Mark Brkljacic (Tarilynn) and Melissa Price (Josh). Mary escaped from communism from the former Yugoslavia at the age of 18 by climbing a mountain for her freedom.  Mary was proud of her adoptive country Canada, but always remained true to Croatia.   Mary was very passionate about her family and was very proud of her daughters successes in life. The family would like to thank Windsor Regional Hospitals doctors, nurses and staff for the exceptional care Mary received.  Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, London on Monday, April 18 from 7-9 o'clock, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 19th at 12 noon.  Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.  Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
